BBC ‘Escape to the Country’ came to Marlborough last August and did some filming to promote the town to a prospective househunter. They contacted Marlborough LitFest initially to find someone local to interview about living in Marlborough and specifically to talk about the festival with their lovely househunter who was looking to live in the Wiltshire area.We set up an interview with our outgoing LitFest Chair, Genevieve Clarke, at The Parade Cinema in Marlborough (many thanks to the cinema for hosting the interview!) to give a flavour of all the best things about living in Marlborough (including our festival of course😉). And we suggested the crew visit many of our wonderful independent shops and cafes, including Curate, Packaging Not Included and St Peter’s – especially for the incredible bird’s eye view of the High Street from the top of the tower.
We hope everyone is delighted with the positive TV coverage of our fantastic town!
