This year’s Big Town Read, run in association with Wiltshire Libraries, is The Secret Life of John le Carré by Adam Sisman.
Following his 2015 biography of le Carré, Sisman identifies the women throughout his life who inspired the spy author’s writing and how they were ultimately an integral part of his successful writing process, as well as examining the relationship between biographer and his subject.
LitFest encourages the local community (local book groups and individuals) to all read the same book ahead of a Q&A session with the author during the festival. There will be multiple copies available over the summer from Marlborough Library.
