LitFest Goes Wild

As a literature festival set in a beautiful region of the UK, we’re celebrating the start of summer with four inspirational writers who will be speaking at The White Horse Bookshop on 3 June.

This is a new venture for LitFest, separate from the main festival weekend, and made possible by our lead sponsors, Brewin Dolphin.

Alexander McCall Smith is best known for his No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series, the latest of which is The Woman Who Walked in Sunshine. They have been translated into fifty languages and sell many millions worldwide.

However, he writes many other popular series and is highly prolific, having published a total of 46 novels, a volume of short stories, 27 children’s books and many academic texts. At Marlborough LitFest he will be talking about his writing and his latest books including The Woman Who Walked in Sunshine, the next book in the Scotland Street Series, The Revolving Door of Life.
