Lynne Truss wraps up another successful day at the Marlborough Lit Fest 2014

Saturday, September 27th, 2014

What a great end to the day! The journalist and author entertained the audience by reading from some of work that she has written for radio. A short story about a woman called Henni and the relationship with her paranoid husband, as well as her humourous responses to Christmas newsletters which were first broadcast on the Radio 4 Today Programme.

Both readings were full of Truss’ trademark humour; ridiculing, talkative and sarcastic, all delivered in the nicest of ways.

The talk was wrapped up with the usual audience Q&A where Lynne was asked about her Radio 4 ‘Pond Life’ series, voiced by actors including Sandi Toksvig, as well as discussing her love of cats as the inspiration for her new novel Cat Out Of Hell, and her career as a sports journalist.
